When NBCU and News Corp. finally take the wraps off their new online video platform, it will feature videa ads served up by Advertising.com, reports ClickZ.
Advertising.com is owned by AOL, which is a distribution partner in the still-unnamed "YouTube killer." Ads will be served up via the Lightningcast video ad management platform, which AOL acquired last year. That goes for videos both on the site and those shown on partner sites, such as MSN, Yahoo and News Corps.' own MySpace.
Reportedly, a major consideration in selecting Advertising.com for ad management was that it had a solution already in place that met the needs of buying, selling and accounting for multiple ads over multiple platforms.
That selection also takes into account the monetizing of unsold inventory, which will be made available to advertisers using Advertising.com's larger network.
