Mochila AdMatch Launched for Small Web Publishers

Mochila, a startup that facilitates the sale and distribution of editorial content, has launched Mochila AdMatch Channels, a new product that allows web publishers to build customized content feeds, writes MediaWeek.

The new product will allow editors and smaller web publishers to piece together news feeds for their sites, pulling content from various media that have partnered with Mochila, including Hachette Filipacchi Media, the Associated Press, MSNBC.com, CNET and Hearst Magazines.

Bundled with the Mochila AdMatch Channels are ad placements, making the service free for sites, which share any resulting ad revenue with Mochila.

The new product is geared toward the "long tail" of smaller, niche web publishers, said Benjamin Chen, Mochila's chairman and chief technical officer. For such smaller sites, "you can configure it the way you want it, and the big thing is that we're giving you the ability to pull content that is from different types of media, from text to video."
