Salesforce.com is launching an update to its core on-demand customer relationship management tool, Spring '07, which is expected to be unveiled on Monday, writes CNET (via MediaBuyerPlanner).
A key difference of the new release is Appspace, which allows users to share content and ideas and collaborate on a webspace page - sort of an enterprise version of MySpace, according to SVP of corporate and product marketing Kendall Collins.
Salesforce.com will also offer a limited release of Appspace next month, allowing companies to use the feature for $995/month for up to 200 users. A more general release may come later this year.
Microsoft has been in the midst of improving its own on-demand enterprise CRM software. Salesforce.com's last update, Winter '07, was released just two months ago.
