MySpace Preps News Aggregation Service

Not content to simply house the personal pages of its members and occasional corporate mascot, MySpace wants to create a news aggregation and delivery service for its users, according to blogger Terry Heaton.
MySpace News would aggregate content from around the web and push it to topic-specific pages that users could then interact with. Members could rate and comment on stories and even create their own using their MySpace blog.

Doing so brings news within the MySpace brand instead of forcing users to go outside to get it. Heaton says this is part of Fox Interactive's overall strategy to bring in non-Fox content to MySpace, positioning the site as a delivery vehicle.
