Yahoo asks Agencies to Go Green

Yahoo has asked a number of ad agencies to create and submit proposals for a new campaign from the search/ad giant that encourage environmental responsibility reports BrandWeek.
The company is holding a contest similar to those conducted by others looking for consumer-generated ad ideas. Only instead of consumers, the call has gone out to advertising professionals to submit their material. Everyday non-professionals will then be able to vote on the entries, which will ultimately be judged by a panel of ad executives from a number of agencies. The winning entrant will receive a trip to the International Advertising Festival in Cannes in June, with their spot being entered into the official competition.

Despite the focus on ad professionals competing in the contest it is open to anyone. Entries can be submitted between now and May 7th.
