With the goal of taking casual gaming to the next level, two casual gaming vets have launched New York-based Rebel Monkey, the latest player in the ever-expanding casual games market.
According to Next Generation, Rebel Monkey was founded by Margaret Wallace and Nicholas Fortugno. Wallace was cofounder and CEO of San Francisco-based casual game developer Skunk Studios, makers of Gutterball, QBeez and Tamale Loco.
Cofounder Fortugno's design credits include Diner Dash, Plantasia and the serious game Ayiti: The Cost of Life, which deals with poverty in developing countries.
The new company is aiming for the mass market.
