AOL's Cofounder Launches 'Revolution Health' Website

Case

AOL cofounder Steve Case has launched a health website that offers information on doctors and insurance and provides social-networking features.

The site, Revolution Health, serves as a place for users to not only obtain information on health topics but also discuss those topics with other users, Reuters reports. Users can create profiles and rate doctors and hospitals.

The site offers both free and paid services, but Case says he hopes that after users discover the benefits of the site they will be willing to switch to the paid version, which costs around $100 a year. Users who join in the first 90 days will receive free trials of telephone-consulting and digital-record services.

The company behind Revolution Health, Revolution LLC, has also invested tens of millions of dollars in RediClinic, a walk-in medical clinic company that operates out of Wal-Mart and other retailers.
