Ubisoft is aiming to prove that the Nintendo Wii is so simple… even a baby could use it.

According to Next Generation, the French game publisher will launch Cosmic Family in mid-2007, a Wii game aimed at young children "who want to upgrade from their Leapsters."

By launching the learning game, UbiSoft - which sells primarily entertainment games like the Rainbow Six franchise - will compete with Leapfrog, maker of edutainment hardware and software.

Described as "more like an interactive adventure than a traditional videogame," Cosmic Family features a family living on a five-floor rocket ship. The game incorporates 15 early-learning minigames that are designed to improve children's memory, hand-eye coordination, creativity and imagination.
