Sprint, HP, BK Honored as Online Marketing 'All Stars'

Moon

Sprint's Ted Moon, HP's Mary Bermel, and Gillian Smith of Burger King are being honored tonight in NYC as Online All Stars at the Online Marketing, Media and Advertising (OMMA) Conference and Expo sponsored by MediaPost.

Moon, director of interactive and innovative media for Sprint Nextel Corp., is being honored in part because of his efforts to advance his company's strategic goals through new media platforms, including partnering with TiVo to feature the use of Sprint products in the Sony summer picture, "Talledega Nights," as well as partnering with the NFL.

Bermel, director of global interactive for Hewlett-Packard Co., has led the company to devote an increasing portion of its marketing budget to online media and marketing.

Smith, senior director of media and interactive at Burger King Corp., spearheaded her company's efforts to become, among other things, the first advertiser to sponsor downloadable TV shows on a social networking site, partnering with Fox to distribute episodes of shows like "24" on MySpace.

OMMA, which focuses exclusively on online media and marketing, is being held today and tomorrow in Manhattan.
