After reporting a dip in Google's search share in July-August, Hitwise reports that Google's share has rebounded.
Google's share of U.S. search volume climbed to 60.29 percent for the four weeks ended Sept. 9, Hitwise reports, after having accounted for 59.84 percent of searches for the four weeks ended August 19. At that time, speculation was that the dip might be a seasonal fluctuation - or an indication that Google's share had reached a plateau. Apparently, it was the former.
Yahoo was second with 22.58 percent of U.S. searches for the four weeks ended Sept. 9, followed by MSN with 11.56 percent and Ask with 3.63 percent.
