Accipiter, Cars.com Sign Online Advertising Management Deal

Online advertising technology firm Accipiter Solutions has signed classified advertising giant Classified Ventures as its latest customer for Accipiter's AdManager Hosted, which has been rolled out to the Cars.com site. The site recently ramped up its 2006 media campaign with a $100 million online brand promotion, expected to reach more than 200M consumers.

That advertising effort will complement existing online marketing initiatives aimed at traffic generation. "Once additional sites within our network are live with AdManager, we expect to be serving over 500 million ads per month," said Keri Needham, ad operations manager.

Classified Ventures develops comprehensive in the automotive, rental and real estate markets, offering advertisers a way to reach in-market consumers. It is a strategic joint-venture owned and funded by Belo Corp., Gannett Co., Knight Ridder, The McClatchy Company, Tribune Company and The Washington Post Company.
