Contextual advertising provider ContextWeb and search and directory advertising firm InfoSpace have signed a deal to market contextual graphical ads to InfoSpace's publisher clients, reports ClickZ. The companies say because pricing is CPM-based and the ads are graphical, agencies with brand marketing goals and on the lookout for inventory will find them attractive.
"The ad agency market is always looking for us to expand the quality and reach of our distribution," said Jay Sears, VP of business development and publisher relations for ContextWeb.
Expected to launch later this year, the joint service will be distributed the same InfoSpace search products are syndicated to publisher partners. Those using InfoSpace's private-label services include ABC News, FOX News, Cablevision, Verizon Online and NBCi.com.
