Word-of-mouth marketing agency BzzAgent is launching five new buzz campaigns in Canada, reports MediaBuyerPlanner. David Balter, founder of BzzAgent, said he expects the Canadian network to grow quickly, just as its U.S. network is growing at about 4,000 members per week. The company is recruiting Canadian buzz agents on its site.
The campaigns include those for clients Unilever and Penguin publishing house, each of which will use trained Canadian "agents" to engage consumers and discuss products, writes MediaPost. Balter hopes to expand into Europe next, and says the Canada expansion is the first step in doing so.
