Home Depot Taps Digitas

Following a review, Home Depot has tapped Digitas for relationship marketing chores - mainly interactive and some direct marketing, reports AdWeek. Omnicom Group's DDB, Chicago previously handled the work, which reportedly amounts to $10-20 million in business for Digitas. DDB had handled the account since 2002.

"We know that interactive, direct and new media will be important parts of our marketing initiatives for driving retail, and we see identifying an agency with a strong track record of success and expertise in this area as a natural and logical step," said Roger Adams, client SVP of marketing, in a statement.

Home Depot spent $465 million in measured media last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
