Comedy Central has created an original animated series, Samurai Love God, designed for mobile devices, and plans to launch it during the first quarter, writes MediaWeek (via MediaBuyerPlanner). The 8 two-and-a-half minute episodes will follow a sexually charged Samurai hero, voiced by Daily Show correspondent Ed Helms, and will feature porn star Jenna Jameson and comedian Lisa Lampinelli as the voices for other characters.

In addition to Love God, Comedy Central has plans for several mobile series, noting that the network's personality and content translate well to the area of mobile video. The comedy network launched a broadband platform Motherload last year, and recently announced several new series that are in development specifically for broadband to be released this year.
