Jeeves the Butler will meet his end at the end of the month, after nearly 10 years of dedicated service, writes the BBC (via AdJab). The decision to kill off Jeeves was made in September 2005 as part of a rebranding effort after the purchase of Ask by Barry Diller's IAC/InterActive Corp in March of last year. The execution, inevitable considering Diller's antipathy toward the smiling (some say gay) Jeeves, was apparently delayed to give Jeeves fans time to get used to the idea of losing him.
