MSN Search, Virtual Earth Free APIs for Advertisers

New application program interfaces (APIs) from Microsoft that were made available to web publishers this week include options for advertisers, reports DM News. An upgraded MSN Search API is available for websites, and can conduct up to 10,000 queries a day for free. Also, businesses and developers can access the API for the MSN Virtual Earth beta for commercial use, generating revenue by placing ads on sites in a revenue-sharing model that will be available next year. Advertisers that choose not to use Virtual Earth's geographical local search capabilities or ads would sign a service agreement with MSN.
