Napster chose Modernista for its ad account after a confidential review, according to AdWeek. The account involves mostly print, online and some broadcast. Ads for Modernista's first Napster campaign should appear in the fall.
Modernista worked previously for Roxio, the company that acquired Napster two years ago. Napsters 2003 "Keep it cool" campaign had been developed by San Francisco's Venebles, Bell & Partners.
Napster's CMO, Alan Cohen, said Modernista was chosen mostly for its creative firepower and non-traditional approach.
