Google Enhances Book Search

Google Print book search has announced that potential buyers who use Google can find just publishers' titles when searching - without having to sort through web or newsgroup results - by going directly to http://print.google.com (via Cork University Press). Google is also integrating Google Print with Google Accounts, its new user account management system. Only if users sign in to their Google account will several book pages remain fully visible after a search, providing publishers an extra level of security, and only a limited amount of book content will be visible to any viewer. Earlier this week, a group of nonprofit scholarly publishers expressed concern about the copyright-violation potential of Google Print for Libraries.
