Adding new personal-search features and tools, Yahoo has expanded its My Yahoo, which it launched last October, reports Search Engine Watch. The new My Web service will now allow users to save a cached copy of a page, not just a link. Those pages are saved in My Web, and users can perform full-text searches over these pages. Yahoo has also implemented a search history feature similar to the one unveiled by Google last week. It tracks sites visited from Yahoo search results, and indicates previously visited pages.
Yahoo described the offering as a "personal search engine" that allows users to save, recall and share with others on the Web online search-related information, writes MediaPost.
In the next several weeks, the folders of users' search history will be integrated with other Yahoo tools, including email, instant messenger and the personal networking service.
