Revolution reports that JupiterResearch predicts a rapid rise in online ad prices in Europe, as the new media grow in popularity there. In the next five years, the annual adspend on the internet is slated to grow to $6.2 billion. Currently, a paucity of demand allows the relative few European marketers to enjoy relatively low marketing costs. As that situation changes, Jupiter anticipates marketers will have to more closely manage their campaigns for efficient optimization. The firm indicated that 2005 European online spending will rise 29 percent to about $3.5 billion.
