DM News: Yahoo, Adobe Strike Search Toolbar Deal
Adobe and Yahoo agreed to distribute some of their software together, bundling Yahoo's search toolbar - an add-on to browsers - with Adobe's ubiquitous Acrobat PDF document reader software. The deal could vastly increase Yahoo's number two search engine traffic, gaining access eventually to the hundreds of millions of computers that run Adobe's software currently. The companies plan to further integrate the products, allowing users to do things like save web pages in PDF format.
