AdWeek: AOL Europe Replaces Overture With Google
AOL Europe replaced Overture sponsored search listings with those from Google in a multi-year agreement. AOL's U.S. division has worked with Google in this capacity for more than two years and has developed what seems like an increasingly close relationship to the world's largest internet provider. Interviews with AOL executives appearing in other publications indicate that the company has no ambitions of creating its own search engine, and seems happy enough to share the market with one of the major players.
