Google Exec: Branded Keywords Boost ROI by 8 Times

SearchEngineLowdown: Google Exec Spills the Beans!

At the ChannelAdvisor summit, Google executive David Sacco dropped some interesting tidbits, among them:
- Branded keywords prove to have eight times the return on investment than that of generic words.
- Almost a third of Google search are for product names. One in ten is for a brand name, and on in 20 is for a company name.
- Googles search media, including search distribution partners, touches only about five percent of web traffic. They claim that their contextual network, though, reaches as much as 80 percent.
