AdAge: Vonage Puts 50 Percent of its Marketing Budget Online
Vonage announced it will put more than half of its $50 million annual marketing kitty into online advertising. The average proportion among all brands remains closer to three percent. Vonage already spends a great deal online, as its internet telephony products obviously find a high audience composition of potential customers. Most of Vonage's traditional telephone company competitors - many of which are coming out with internet telephony packages - have marketing departments structurally geared to broadcast advertising.
