Lycos Bought by South Korean Firm

InfoWorld: Terra Lycos sells Lycos to Daum for $105 million

South Korean Internet portal Daum Communications, as rumored, purchased Lycos for $95 million in cash and an additional $10 million in real estate leasing guarantees. The deal didn't include Terra Networks USA, nor Lycos Europe. Spanish company Terra had purchased Lycos in May 2000 for $12.5 billion, about twice Spain's annual defense budget.
