MarketingVOX: Political Satire Exploits Viral Power

The very funny Flash animation put together by JibJab.com to poke fun at both major presidential contenders rocketed the JibJab site traffic well past both that of George Bush and John Kerry's own campaign websites. Traffic zoomed up by about 150 times for the week ending July 17, according to web research firm Hitwise, with visits to JibJab accounting for one in 25 visits to a humor site. Interestingly, these visitors tended to be female (60 percent), aged 45-54 and with household incomes of $30-$60,000.
