aQuantive reported third-quarter increases in both revenue and profits for all three of its operating units, including for digital agency Avenue A/Razorfish.
aQuantive's 3Q net profit increased 44 percent from the year-earlier period, reaching $13.6 million, or 16 cents per diluted share, from $9.4 million, or 13 cents per share, reports MediaPost. Revenues increased 41 percent to $111 million, missing analysts' average estimate of $112.6 million. Its digital marketing services business, including Avenue A/Razorfish, had operating income of $14.3 million on revenue of $67.7 million, compared with $8.9 million and $48.5 million a year ago.
The digital marketing technologies group, including Atlas, had operating income of $12.2 million on revenue of $29.9 million, compared with $10.6 million and $23.5 million a year earlier. The digital performance media unit nearly tripled operating profit to $2.7 million from $1 million a year ago, and nearly doubled revenue to $13.4 million from $6.8 million.
AQuantive CEO Brian McAndrews is quoted by AdWeek as saying the company will look to add more agencies abroad, primarily in Europe and Asia. "We've made a tremendous amount of progress, but we don't feel like we're done yet," he said.
