CNET reports that AOL will launch a free email service akin to those offered by MSN and Yahoo. AOL said it will debut as a members-only service early in the new year, and then roll out to the public later. It will offer 100 MB of storage. Free email services could ad a great deal of additional banner inventory to AOL's internet content network, a part of its business it is again stressing.
