AdWeek:AOL Instant Messenger to Run TV-Like Ads
In November, AOL will launch a new video and audio enabled ad unit that will reside in the 120X60 space above the Instant Messenger Buddy List window. The ad unit will be served only twice per day to a user with each of the two ads guarenteed to be from different advertisers. EyeWonder is the technology behind this offering which will be available for purchase in two dayparts; an AM daypart to target business users and a PM daypart to target teens and 18-34 year olds.
