AOL is planning to launch a new video-on-demand channel centered on autos, in part repurposing car-related videos commonly seen in car dealers' showrooms, writes MediaWeek. The on-demand content will be housed within AOL Video and integrated in AOL Video search, allowing in-market buyers to find relevant video clips. AOL is likely to heavily incorporate advertising in the new channel. Broadband video ad inventory within autos content sites sells out on a regular basis.
