AOL Launches Hispanic Online Service

MediaPost: AOL Time Warner Launches AOL Latino

AOL has launched AOL Latino, a new service developed specifically for the Hispanic audience. Time Warner Media and Communications Group Chairman Don Logan made the announcement yesterday at a Goldman Sachs conference. Taking advantage of the 12.5 million online Hispanic audience, the service will provide U.S. focused Spanish language content bundled with the new AOL 9.0 Optimized. The content will be separate from other previously existing Spanish language services such as those in Mexico, Argentina and Puerto Rico.

The service is launching with 25 committed advertisers including Heineken and Coca-Cola and will be promoted with its own advertising campaign on television, radio and in print beginning in November.
