NYT: Web Radio Said to Be Ready for Ads
AOL is throwing in its online broadcasting ad sales lot with Yahoo to create a large enough audience to attract traditional radio buyers. AOL's chief of the radio effort said that neither company has the reach by itself to make it worthwhile to most large radio buyers, but together, they can compete quite effectively against the broadcast medium.
