NY Post: Wall St. Not Wowed by AOL's Campaign

On the heels of a $35 million marketing campaign and a new broadband offering, AOL got dinged yesterday as investors decided they weren't convinced either could help the company.
AOL dropped 50 cents, or 4.4 percent, to close at $10.95.
A discussion list I follow on e-marketing has been buzzing about this today, with most folks cynical about this crass new ad campaign. My own reaction to seeing Sharon Stone tussled on a bed saying how great that was to the AOL icon man rushing out of her bedroom was that AOL has no better ideas on how to sell the Internet at this point besides cybersex. On the other hand, they may just be on to something…
