The Time Warner-owned portal has forged a deal with QVC to distribute two of the home shopping network's channels on its video.aol.com site, one of which can be streamed live on the Web, reports MediaWeek.
"Now, with the launch of the QVC TV Live channel on AOL Video, consumers are just a mouse click away from the most current products featured on QVC," Fred McIntyre said, SVP of AOL Video.
Starting Jan. 18, AOL visitors can view a lives stream of QVC TV Live, essentially seeing the same programming that the network’s cable viewers receive. Additionally, 400 snippets of video content will be available to stream from QVC On Demand.
Last year, AOL revamped its video portal, signing deals with a variety of premium content providers such as MTV, Nickelodeon and TBS to deliver short-form on-demand content.
