AOL has relaunched the Truveo video search engine it acquired last year, reports AdWeek.
The newly-refurbished Truveo will act as AOL's single point of entry into the world of online video. Since the acquisition, it was mainly used as the tech foundation for AOL's own video search service.
AOL hopes Truveo will become popular in part because it simply points users to videos on other sites and does not host them itself. That, the company thinks, means users will use it when looking for any type of video, from professional to amateur.
