AOL showed off five original series at the "First Look" session it held for advertisers, reports MediaPost.
The new shows include games based on the Shrek movie franchise, a new installment of "Gold Rush", an interactive feature tied to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the online game Million Dollar Bill and virtual world competition iLand. AOL execs, including relatively new CEO Randy Falco, touted the scale AOL has achieved in terms of audience reach and entertainment offerings.
Advertisers were offered a variety of ad formats in the five new shows, from pre-roll to integration within content. AOL told media buyers that, between it and its Advertising.com network, it reaches 90 percent of web users.
