AOL has logged ad revenue that marks a 40 percent leap over the previous period, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.
The increase is good news for AOL, which saw a 43 percent drop in subscription revenue and a 25 percent drop overall. Subscriber numbers are down 1.2 million, winding up at 12 million still paying for the service.
The ad revenue growth came from sales of display and text ads on AOL-owned and partner sites. Advertising on partner sites is managed by Advertising.com. Revenue from these sites reached $150 million in the last quarter.
