Among DoubleClick Publishers, Ad Server Sputtering Not Polite Conversation

MediaPost: Despite Quick Recovery, DoubleClick Attack Results in Reluctance To Discuss

While DoubleClick survived a hack attack that temporarily downed parts of its ad network, the publishers who used DoubleClick's ad servers have been reluctant to discuss the loss of inventory or the repercussions it implies, according to a MediaPost's Kate Kaye. One source told her that many sites hoped not to attract much attention from the people who perpetrate such denial of service attacks. Another reason might be that advertisers hadn't yet learned enough to demand their money back for ads that may or may not have been seen.
