American Idol Most Visited Broadcast Network TV Show Website

The most-visited leading broadcast network television show website for the week ended April 28 was www.americanidol.com, which received 32.96 percent of all US visits to a custom category consisting of more than 100 television show websites, according to Hitwise (via MarketingCharts).

Non-scripted shows claim seven of the top 10 visited websites. NBC's Deal or No Deal website received the second-largest share of US visits, with 12.33 percent, followed by ABC's Dancing with the Stars website, which received 9.31 percent.

ABC's Grey's Anatomy website, which received 3.23 percent of visits, was fourth. NBC's Heroes website rounded out the top five with 3.15 percent of visits for the week.

The results are from a weekly Hitwise Conversions report that ranks the selected broadcast network television show websites, whether a standalone site such as American Idol's or a section within a larger website such as Deal or No Deal's.

The broadcast networks included were CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, The CW and MyNetworkTV. The show websites are ranked by market share of US visits among all the websites included in the category.
