SearchEngineGuide points to a SearchEngineJournal article that looks at WebTrend's new report judging the search engine optimization efforts of major retailers. It found that the four retailers examined - Wal-Mart, Target, Sears and Amazon.com - were twice as visible in paid results as they were in the organic results when looking for some of the most sought-after Christmas toys. Amazon was the most visible (35 percent), ahead of Wal-Mart (14 percent), Target (7 percent) and Sears (4 percent).
