Getting along very well
Amazon issued a statement to investors, saying its retail growth has been strong, and Q4 is expected to be better than last year, reports The Financial Times.
Sales for Q3 were up 41 percent over the previous period, largely helped by the release of the last Harry Potter book, which sold 2.5 million copies. Income hit $80 million.
Amazon expanded its product range significantly overseas, as well as launching a DRM-free music download service to compete against Apple's iTunes.
The company also doubled its Amazon Prime membership from a year ago. Amazon Prime provides faster delivery of items purchased for a single annual fee.
