Ad holding company Aegis Group has added top Brazilian digital shop AgenciaClick to its digital holdings in South America, writes AdWeek.

Aegis paid about $31 million for the agency. Founded in 1999, AgenciaClick has offices in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Belo Horizante. Its 280 staffers serve clients like Coca-Cola and Fiat.

The shop will act as the South American hub for Aegis' Isobar network, which includes Carat Fusion and iProspect in the United States. Isobar now has 2,000 employees at operations in 34 of the world's top 40 markets, Aegis said.

Following the deal, AgenciaClick president Pedro Cabral will add the role of president of Latin America for Isobar.
