AOL's Advertising.com is the latest ad network offering developers of Facebook applications a way to earn money, reports ClickZ.
The WIDGNET platform allows developers to submit their applications for inclusion in the Advertising.com network. The app is reviewed for quality and content, then accepted or denied from the network, a process Advertising.com says differs from other networks.
Ads will not be targeted at first, with Advertising.com initially getting a sense of the application's reach. Tweaking of ad delivery will come later, the company says.
