Advertising.com Brings CPC Pricing to Video Ads


But will the world convert?

AOL's Advertising.com is rolling out a cost-per-click video ad platform.

Performance Video is geared to direct-response marketers and brand managers. Ads on the platform can be placed in professional or amateur videos. They appear as pre-roll spots running five to nine seconds.

Publishers may sell inventory on a cost-per-thousand basis if they feel that's the best way to monetize their video creations.

Advertising.com expects the product to set a precedent for future targeting platforms, ad formats and measurement tools.
