Adobe Yanks FedEx Kinkos Option After Industry Scowls

Due to widespread criticism from print companies, the latest version of Adobe Acrobat and Reader will remove a menu option that allowed users to send documents over the web to FedEx Kinkos for printing.

According to Compiler, the option was introduced in Reader 8.1 and Acrobat 8.1.
To compensate, Adobe is slated to launch an 8.1.1 version in about ten weeks. FedEd Kinkos will continue to offer the 8.1 version on its website.

Adobe is also setting up a Print Advisory Council that will work with third-party printers on software issues.
