Mobile phone ad network AdMob has opened AdMob East, a New York City location. It also announced the addition of 1000 mobile website publishers to its network in the last six months.

Brands that advertise via AdMob include Land Rover RRS, Blackberry, Vicks Dayquil, and Microsoft Live.

Oddly enough, Microsoft has its own mobile media network, ScreenTonic. AdMob says its network is larger than ScreenTonic and Third Screen Media (AOL's mobile media network) combined.
