Mobile ad solutions provider AdMob has received $15 million in new venture capital funding, reports iMediaConnection.
The new funding, via Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital, will be used by AdMob to continue offering new solutions to advertisers looking to connect with mobile device users. The firm's platform enables advertisers to target users by geography, demographic, manufacturer or other factors.
AdMob reported serving over 1 billion ads in the last six months of 2006. Since mid-January the company says it has delivered over 600 million ads.
Over 95 percent of AdMob users target their ads by geographic location, 63 percent use behavioral or demographic, and 20 percent target by device manufacturer.
