adCenter Agency Enablement Features Should Ease Account Management

Microsoft has unveiled a host of what it calls Agency Enablement features which, if they do nothing else, will spare agencies and advertisers a whole lot of typing and perhaps recover a few lost billables. The Agency Enablement features are designed to ease the management of adCenter campaigns.

Among the Agency Enablement features:

  • Linking / Unlinking (see graphic): An agency and client can link and unlink existing adCenter accounts without losing account or performance history.
  • Onboarding: The agency can send a new or existing advertiser a request to manage their account for quick and easy onboarding and account management.
  • Billing: The features are designed to provide control and flexibility for both agencies and advertisers over billing preferences. Agencies can for example edit the bill-to option to handle clients’ invoices; and see all accounts at once in the Accounts & Billing tab.
  • Account Level Agency Management: Agencies can manage client accounts at the account level versus the customer level, which provides advertisers with greater flexibility in tailoring their account management needs to the unique needs of their business.

Before using the features, agencies need to updgrade to adCenter's new agency management model; unlink from current clients' accounts, then relink to them by sending invitations to connect. Microsoft suggests providing advance to clients, and having them accept the invitations near to close of business so their accounts are not affected during normal business hours.
