IAR: Rich Media Ad Players Irked, Despite Reprieve
Ad serving executives and others expressed relief at the Microsoft decision to hold off on changing Internet Explorer, its flagship browser, in such a way as to prevent online rich media from running when first downloaded. But behind the relief was a lingering annoyance due to the technical fire drill most companies had to exercise, just in case the browser monopolist had been forced to make changes due to a low-level patent dispute judgment.
